- White vinegar
- Dish soap (a degreasing, fragrance-free variety is best)

- Hot soapy water

Here I have brought up below the step-by-step guideline to clean a coffee maker. Just follow these instructions to have a good cleaning of your coffee maker.
Empty the carafe:
Empty the first. Then rinse the carafe and dump out the coffee grounds located left in the filter.
Add vinegar and water:
Make a solution of vinegar and water. Pour 6 cups cold water with 3 cups white vinegar in your coffee pot. Pour this mixture into your coffee maker’s reservoir.
If the coffee maker is small, add the white vinegar with water at 1:2 ratios. Then fill the water chamber of your coffee maker up to the full capacity with equal measurement of white vinegar and water.
Run half brew cycle:
After adding this mixture, start a brew cycle. At the midway of this brew cycle, turn off your coffee maker. Then let the machine sit for an hour.
Finish the brew cycle:
After the expiration of this time, turn on your coffee maker. Let then the brew cycle finish.
Discard the water-vinegar solution:
After completing the brew cycle, pour out the water-vinegar solution. After that, pour fresh water (no vinegar) into the water chamber.
Run new water cycle:
Now run a fresh brew cycle with only the water. Repeat this procedure for two more times. Allow the coffee maker to be cool slightly.
Wipe down the coffee maker:
Wipe down the outer part of the coffee maker with a dry dish towel. Wash the carafe as well as filter basket in hot and soapy water.
